Our Vision
- At Unbound Institute, our vision is to see communities transformed through leaders who are equipped to guide others from emotional and spiritual bondage into freedom, resilience, and restored identity.We envision a growing network of trained facilitators who create safe, trauma-informed environments where individuals can rebuild stability, renew their sense of purpose, and develop the skills necessary to thrive in their relationships, families, and communities
- Through faith-integrated training, practical tools, and compassionate leadership development, Unbound Institute seeks to empower leaders who help others move beyond destructive beliefs and toward lasting freedom and personal transformation.
Our Services
- At Unbound Institute, we provide structured group facilitation and facilitator training designed to support identity restoration, emotional resilience, and personal growth through trauma-informed, faith-integrated peer programs.
- The Unbound Program is a structured 33-week group journey designed to help participants explore identity, emotional patterns, and belief systems within a safe and supportive environment.
- Through guided discussions, practical tools, and community support, participants learn to:
- • recognize and challenge destructive belief patterns
• develop emotional awareness and regulation
• strengthen personal responsibility and resilience
• rebuild identity and purpose
• cultivate healthy relationships and boundaries - The program follows the Unbound framework, which guides participants through progressive phases of stabilization, inner restoration, rebuilding, and empowerment. The group format allows individuals to experience growth within a supportive community where reflection, accountability, and encouragement are central to the process.
- Facilitator Training (Add-On Certification Training)
- For leaders who wish to guide others through the Unbound Program, Unbound Institute offers a one-day facilitator training designed to equip participants with the foundational knowledge and ethical guidelines necessary to facilitate peer groups.
- This training includes instruction in:
- • the Unbound framework and program structure
• trauma-informed group facilitation practices
• creating emotionally safe environments
• facilitator boundaries and scope of practice
• confidentiality and ethical responsibilities
• participant referral protocols
• background check requirements for facilitators - Upon completion of the training and program requirements, participants may be recognized as Certified Unbound Program Facilitators, prepared to lead peer groups within ministries, community programs, and supportive learning environments.

Our Team
Misty Hart Nadeau, M.A., BCC
Founder & Director, Unbound Institute
- Misty is a trauma-informed graduate level, board-certified coach (BCC), and leadership trainer with a professional background in addiction recovery, trauma-informed care, non-profit leadership, and identity restoration. Through her work, she has supported individuals and communities in rebuilding stability, strengthening identity, and developing practical tools for long-term spiritual growth.
- Misty founded Unbound Institute to equip leaders to facilitate trauma-informed, faith-integrated peer programs that help individuals move from emotional and spiritual bondage into freedom, resilience, and renewed purpose.
- In addition to leading Unbound Institute, Misty also serves as the founder of Daughters of Grace, a ministry dedicated to supporting women through healing, identity restoration, and faith-centered growth.
Unbound Program Facilitators
- Women who complete the Unbound journey and feel called to guide others may apply for Unbound Facilitator Training.
- This training equips women to lead Unbound groups within their communities, organizations, recovery programs, or ministries.
- Training includes:
- • group facilitation skills
• trauma-informed leadership principles
• ethics and confidentiality
• healthy boundaries in group settings
• background check requirements
• maintaining a safe and supportive environment - Certified facilitators are equipped to help others walk through the Unbound journey while maintaining the integrity and heart of the program.
The Daughters of Grace Community
- Women who step into facilitation and leadership through the Unbound Institute become part of the Daughters of Grace community, a network of women committed to continued growth, accountability, and supporting others on the same journey.
- Facilitators maintain their certification through a monthly subscription to the Daughters of Grace community, offered on a sliding scale of $5–$100 per month so that participation remains accessible to all.
- This membership supports:
- • continued training and ethical guidance
• community support and leadership development
• annual training updates and facilitator connection
• expanding access to healing groups for women in need - The heart behind this model is simple: women who are financially able, help make healing accessible for women who are not.
A Larger Vision
- The long-term vision of the Unbound Institute and Daughters of Grace is to expand access to healing for women coming out of trauma, addiction recovery, and difficult life transitions.
- Through the support of the community model, women who cannot afford these groups will be able to participate at no cost.
- This vision also supports the development of transitional housing communities, where women can rebuild their lives in safe environments rooted in healing, accountability, and restored identity.

Partner/ Facilitator Subscription
Your monthly subscription includes recertification, access to all yearly trainings as well as the Unbound Program materials to facilitate your own groups. As a bonus ALL of the proceeds of this subscription, pay-it-forward to ensure all women have access to this program.
